Perfect place to stay in the heart of Kyoto - Gion. For me the location was everything since it allowed me to explore things at night while there are less tourists. Kōdai-ji temple looks amazing at night, and even just strolling through Gion is amazing. It is in a main street with bus station nearby. There is also a metro station maybe 500 meters away. It was easy to move around. The hotel room was nice, since they are never too big, they had elevated beds were we could store our luggage, this is a plus. Hotel had all the amenities. Staff was nice and really helpful when we decided to use the services that ship our bags to the next hotel. Helped us with the paperwork and even confirmed with the next hotel that everything was ok to receive our bags there.

We loved this hotel! It has an excellent location in Gion, making it possible to walk to many places or take the subway, which is right next door. We stayed in the King-Size Bed Room, which is huge and very spacious! There is no daily cleaning, but they leave clean towels at your door every day. All bathroom amenities are provided. The bathtub was essential for relaxing at the end of the day. The staff is very attentive and helpful—I would stay at this hotel again!

Wonderful location right on a busy street with lots of food shops, souvenir shops, and personal care and cosmetic stores. For us, the station we needed to use was relatively close to a subway station, just a few minutes walk away. The room was bigger than your average sized Japanese business hotel room, but it could be because this hotel seems to largely cater to tourists. We were able to comfortably fit our 2 pieces of luggage in the room no problem. Very generous with amenities, they even provide hair ties for women!

The best location! In front of Yasaka Shrine, walking distance Ninenzaka, Senenzaka, Kiyomuduzera, Nishiki Market and a lot more. 1 train to Fushima Inari, 1 bus to philosophers path. We watched the sunset at the nearby river while drinking coffee, had walked throught the streets of Gion at night, walked through temples in the morning. Starbucks at 1st floor and outside is full of japanese street foods. Good hotel breakfast, the rooms were clean and big enough, good ammenities. Loved my stay here for 5days in Kyoto.

Loved the location, fairly close to station stops, convenient stores and Kiyomizu deru temple, lots of convenient stores and kimono rental and most of them don't need reservations I noticed, so walk in was okay. Bed was comfortable with amenities provided, they do have scheduled room service but they do call before hand if you're okay or not, building has its own Starbucks too. Would definitely recommend.

Everything! The hotel was cozy, had night lighting, ambience, the bed was so comfy, the wifi was fast, there was nice hot shower and bathroom shampoo, soap, amenities, and the buffet breakfast was so good; There was udon, fish, nice croquettes, , duck loin, pasta, cereals, and coffee. Location was a 10; Right in the heart of Gion-shijo and near the Yasaka Shrine and the Kawamachi street where Ben's cookies (The best cookies in Japan!), all the restaurants and near the sakura mocchi store where they sell probably the most delicious mocchi in Japan. Will highly recommend!

The location was exceptional! Very well located and I enjoyed how easy was to hang around by walking. The city landscapes are just amazing, lots of convenience stores nearby and I hardly could imagine a better location. The room was very clean and the staff is polite, especially the folks from the breakfast.

The location was super central, the room had everything we needed. It was a very small room, but we discovered this was the norm in Japan and to be honest we were out and about so much we didn't need it to be super spacious. The bed was a comfortable size and the air-conditioning was hugely appreciated in 37 degrees Celsius of heat! Staff were super efficient, polite and friendly.

This property was in an amazing location right next to a shrine but still close to all the shopping and major tourist areas. There are an endless amount of bars and restaurants around.
